The Guardians are back to deliver yet another movie of which the excitement is matched only by the overwhelming charm of its talented ensemble cast. Although not achieving the same caliber of reviews of the first Guardians, much of the criticism of this film is aimed at its similarity to its predecessor. Is it a lot like the first one? Yes. But the first one was awesome. It’s like criticising your second piece of pizza for being just as delicious as the first slice. What’s there to complain about? The sequel continues to pack on the heart as we learn more about Peter Quill’s background, delving into his complicated relationships with the father figures in his life.
