In a sea of superhero movies, Deadpool 2 is an undeniable standout. Bolstered by another great performance from Ryan Reynolds in what is sure to be his signature role, the movie is fast, exciting, and hilarious. Its too-cool-for-school attitude can get a little grating, considering the movie takes shots at every superhero movie under the sun while committing many of the same cliches, but it’s still a welcome breath of fresh air. And underneath all the humour and rapid fire pop culture references is a great deal of heart and warmth, making this sequel arguably better than its predecessor.
