Arguably the best Christmas film ever made (seriously, there is an argument for that), Die Hard has stood the test of time with the best of them. After the role of John McClane was offered to Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Harrison Ford (among others), the studio went with television star Bruce Willis. A good choice, considering that Bruce Willis’s largely improvised take on the dialogue helped smooth out an unfinished script and gave us the iconic line “Yippe-Ki-Yay, motherfucker.” An undisputed action masterpiece, this movie is required viewing every year at Christmas.
